Because of that separation, people often see a doe with a single fawn and assume singles are standard. Later in the summer, once fawns are traveling with their mother, the twins reunite as a family group, which is when you are likely to spot a doe trailed by two spotted fawns, sometimes joined by her daughter from a previous year and that daughter’s fawns.
